You are warmly invited to join us at the end of August 2026 in the lovely town of Pisa (Italy) to take part in the 7th International Symposium on Aggregation-Induced Emission (AIE7) and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the AIE conceptualization. Please note that the symposium location has been relocated from what was originally planned.
This event is part of a prestigious international conference series dedicated to advancing research on Aggregation-Induced Emission and related emissive phenomena, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and showcasing new research directions and innovation. In this context, AIE7 will bring together researchers from all over the world working at the interface of molecular design, photophysics, materials engineering, and applications where emission in the aggregated/solid state is central.
Topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Molecular and polymeric AIEgens: design, synthesis, structure–property relationships;
- Photophysics in the condensed phase: restriction of motion, excited-state processes, solid-state emissive states;
- Stimuli-responsive and mechano-/thermo-/chemo-responsive luminogens;
- Supramolecular assemblies, soft matter, nanoparticles, and hybrid systems;
- Optoelectronics and photonics (OLEDs, waveguides, lasers, security inks);
- Bioimaging, biosensing, theranostics, and biomedical materials;
- Emerging concepts in aggregate science and functional emissive aggregates.
Oral and poster presentation opportunities are available to researchers of all career stages. We invite you to submit an abstract following the procedure detailed on the Registration page.

In addition to the scientific program, stimulating social events will allow the participants to enjoy Italian cuisine and discover the territory and the famous monuments of Pisa.
